Ready, Set, SALUTE!

I had the honor of interviewing some of our country’s Veterans and it humbled me immensely. The price that is paid by these sons and daughters of our land is a price that is often overlooked. While shooting these interviews the questions that I asked were from my curiosity about the mind and hearts of our heroes. What I didn’t realize was that they carry those hard truths and answers like a memory five minutes ago. One question that struck with all of the Veterans was simply “What does Freedom mean to you?” In my mind, it was a question that should be easily answered but the cost of Freedom is higher than the average citizen ever fathoms. Veterans sacrifice everything and the only thing they ask for in return is for us to make those sacrifices count.
So I want to encourage you to make each day matter, take what I learned today and supersize your efforts. The cost of one’s ability to live out your dreams is paid often with the blood and sacrifices of others. It is disrespectful to squander such privileges. I assure you my life was changed today and I hope yours will be.
